Virtual not Distant Mentoring Group
for managers and leaders of virtual teams.
A learning experience designed for YOU.
There are many kinds of virtual teams: some spread across continents, some spread across different floors in the same building; some are made up of full-time employees, others are made up of freelancers; some integrate people from different departments, some teams have just one function.
If you are leading or managing a virtual team and you know that you learn best through sharing experiences with others, then this course is for you.
The sessions have been designed to help you tackle your specific challenges - while also learning from theory and the experience of others.
Each live online session will begin with a short presentation by your facilitator on two aspects of leading virtual teams, from the Virtual not Distant® framework. We will then move on to a structured discussion to allow you to share your insights and talk talk through your challenges.
The programme consists of five 90 minutes sessions, and there are only four places available.
Your investment: £395 + VAT plus 7.5 hours of your time.

Leading a virtual team requires having knowledge of human nature, team dynamics, technology... So how do we start assessing where to focus our energy and time?
Our VIRTUAL framework provides a simple start.
Visibility: Making ourselves and our work visible to others in our virtual team.
Identity: Creating a third culture in our team that transcends cultural differences.
Results: Ensuring we’re on track.
Trust: Need we say more?
Upgrowth: Learning and growing in our virtual team.
Appreciation: Making sure team members don’t drift away.
Leadership: Developing a suitable leadership style and developing leadership skills in our team.
Through activities and high-level discussions, you will be able to identify how you can adopt your leadership style to the virtual environment and the ways in which your team can improve or consolidate its performance.
We will revise established leadership models and coaching tools (e.g. John Adair’s Action-Centred Leadership or the Johari Window) if requested or if relevant to the group’s challenges.
The sessions will take place at the following UK times:
Weds 14th September 2016, 4pm BST
Tues 11th October 2016, 4pm BST
Weds 9th November 2016, 4pm GMT
Tues 22 November 2016, 4pm GMT
Weds 7th December 2016 4pm GMT
(Once we have a group, we can adapt slightly the times to suit the four of you.)
